Rahul won't lose Amethi, no one from Gandhi family scared

[ On BJP Vs Election Commission]This is not for the first time, Narendra Modi is doing this, He is one person who has scant respect for the Law of the Land, Constitution, and institutions like Election Commission. I am surprised how Mr. Arun Jaitley has come against Election Commission.

Even as Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Varanasi soon after Bharatiya Janata Party prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi campaigned against him in Amethi, Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh said that Rahul's visit has nothing to do with Modi's Amethi visit. "It is not tit for tat. Rahul Gandhi had to go to Varanasi like many others," Digvijaya said while speaking to CNN IBN.

He also dismissed the reports that claim that Rahul may lose in the Gandhi bastion in the ongoing elections. "He won't lose in Amethi and no one from the Gandhi family is scared. He went there in 2004 too," Singh clarified.

Reacting on the snoopgate he said that the government had the right to set up a commission of inquiry, but once election is in process, there was no need for that.

He also clarified his stand over his comments on Modi's personal life saying that he did not attack him on his marital status but "attacked him for concealing the facts".

Digvijaya, who has recently been in the news for his relationship with a TV journalist, said that he was no pressure to reveal any information. "I did the right thing. I don't hide, but I don't like encroachments into my personal life There are many things I know about the personal life of the BJP leaders, but I don't talk about it," he said.
